Autistica is the UK’s national autism research charity, working to drive research that helps autistic people live happier, healthier, longer lives. Their mission is rooted in changing how society understands and supports autism.

I designed and led the creative for the campaign’s out-of-home and social content, building on the powerful message: “See us as individuals, not stereotypes.” The work featured compelling portraits of autistic people, overlaid with the harmful labels and assumptions they face every day.

By layering type directly over each face, the designs made the issue impossible to ignore, challenging viewers to look beyond the stereotypes and recognise the person underneath. It was direct, human, and purpose-driven, exactly the kind of work I believe design is here to do.
